"Understanding the effort opens windows for synergy."
We all want success and unfortunately for far to many individuals that means working hard to barely get enough. Success doesn't matter how old you are because every age group has unique parameters for what is relevant success at that age group. For example, young people have to deal with school, peers, and the requirements set upon them by their parents. Young adults are similar but also includes puberty and a different set of peer pressure guidelines. Then as adults depending on the choice we select (college, trade school, marriage, business owners, parents) life will offer up circumstances similar to other people making the same selections.
These days the term "success" is mostly related to making money. Anyone from any background can be successful, although it is easier in some locations than in others. The point is, if we took enough time to drill down to the core issues of any individual life ..... we are very similar - even though we speak a different language or earn different amounts of money. So what is the right effort to make that will bring the most to us (our family) in life?
People who earn five hundred thousand dollars a year make very similar choices to someone making twenty-five thousand dollars a year .... the difference is that the more money you make the more options you have. Money is no guarantee for happiness. Money just allows you to have more options .... buying a bigger car or a number of cars. Having loads of cash won't make you feel better.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating poverty. I like loads of money. I think everyone deserves loads of money.
What is most important about the underlying effort we make in life, no matter what we are doing or where we are living, is that the focus of that effort be on being happy and appreciative because that is what makes a person feel better. The better you feel about yourself and life in general, the more circumstances you'll be creating that will produce more abundance of whatever it is you want in your life: money, health, friends, traveling - anything.
It does take effort to notice the good in life because we are saturated with bad news, especially if you watch TV. In my experience, it is reprogramming your mind to sustain a constant perspective of the good and beneficial. Find the good thoughts and think more of them. The most beneficial effort anyone can make is find the beneficial and good in whatever circumstances and situations your life is offering you - RIGHT NOW. And, at the same time, keep in mind where you want to go (your goals) and let your good feelings float you to your goals.
The most important effort to make right now is finding the good in your life and letting it fill you with good feelings while you take one day at a time.
