Divine Trembling

Oh Lord, steer me far away from the gorging desert,
those who cannot feel the caress of their soul.

You dwell in my heart.
I taste Your nectar in my cells.
I feel Your presence in my sight.
I long to linger amidst Your tantalizing compassion.

O Great One, Your considerable waves of ecstasy
bring me to my knees.

I humbly approach Your throne now.
May I have the Grace for another taste;
to pave my road
for tomorrow.

Let me drink you,
until drunk...
I cannot stand another drop
