A Glimpse

Let me dine with you tonight.

The sun is brilliantly lightin' the sky
as I follow you to the sea.

Your footprints are quickly washed away,
but the sun has captured you in living color.

I hear your heart beat against my chest,
as I watch the waves score the shore.

I can see your eyes in my world....
even in my plastic sentry,
while I leaped beyond the outpost in my mind,
feeling you rustle the trees.....
left me magically filled.
