Project Blue Beam states that NASA is attempting to implement a New Age religion and start a New World Order. It has all the usual hallmarks of such an odd conspiracy, it attempts to shoehorn events that have happened and are happening into its predictive framework, particularly with references to films being used to prep people psychologically for the conspiracy's dramatic conclusion. It also invokes a fear of advanced technology that is not well understood by the majority of people on the planet. Finally, the primary target and perpetrator is NASA itself, presented as a large and mostly faceless organisation that can readily absorb such, frankly odd, accusations. According to theorists the project has four steps.
